Wendy Morland is Assistant Quality Director and Safeguarding Lead at Busy Bees, with over 25 years’ experience in the early years sector. Wendy began her career as a student practitioner and quickly knew early years would be her lifelong vocation. Having worked across a wide range of roles from room-based practice and nursery leadership to centralised quality support she brings a strong, practical understanding of quality improvement and the everyday realities of safeguarding in early years settings.

For the past six years, safeguarding has been a central focus of Wendy’s work, driven by a deep commitment to ensuring children are safe, heard, and supported through strong practice, confident leadership, and a clear culture of accountability. Passionate about translating policy into meaningful practice, Wendy works closely with Busy Bees settings to strengthen safeguarding systems, embed learning opportunities, and keep children’s wellbeing at the heart of everything they do.
