In June last year, Sinead Johnson partnered with Downing LLP to establish Chalk Nursery Group, where she serves as CEO. The group was launched through the acquisition of a small nursery group in Southwest London, Katey’s House, and was soon joined by Red Bus Nurseries operating 3 large sites in the Bristol area. Chalk Nursery Group aims to expand into a medium-sized, premium early years provider in the UK. Sinead brings extensive expertise in early years education and a deep understanding of delivering exceptional care and education.

Before this venture, Sinead held senior leadership roles in several nursery groups, including kidsunlimited, Asquith Nurseries, and spent three years in the leisure sector at David Lloyd Clubs. Most recently, she was with All About Children, where she led the company’s 2022 sale to the Dutch private equity-backed childcare group, Partou.
