Mya Sharma is Head of Operations at ELY Nursery in Finchley, a nursery set up by her parents in 2002 celebrates its 25th anniversary next year. 

Having attended ELY herself as a child, she brings a personal connection to the setting alongside a background in finance at Ernst & Young and JP Morgan, and early years study at University College London.

Mya has volunteered in nurseries in India, Malawi and Cambodia, shaping her interest in global approaches to early childhood education. In 2026, she spoke at the World Forum on Early Care and Education in Kuala Lumpur about introducing mindfulness and meditation to toddlers. She has also spoken on safeguarding at the Nursery Management Show, bringing the perspective of a single-site nursery operator.
