We have recently completed installing a brand new early years area and wildlife garden at Willand Pre-School. The completed play area has already proven to be extremely popular with the children and teachers at the school.

Our design team created zoned areas of play throughout the playground, using a corner of the area for a large nature play and wildlife area. The tucked away location and the use of fencing and our large Mud Kitchen Deluxe, gives the garden a secluded but open feel to the space, ideal for inspiring imaginative and social play and creating messy play in an outdoor environment.

The new early years play area features a variety of play equipment inspiring active, social and role play. The children have a number of fun play items to choose from, including our Ocean Splash Play Wall designed to inspire group learning, challenge key skills in problem solving, teamwork, and communication. Water play provides hours of outdoor fun no matter what the weather, sunshine or rain.

The old play area included a play train which was asked to be retained. Our design team included this existing play item into the new design linking this with the new surfacing creating a transport theme running through the area. The themed wetpour included railway sleeper graphics under the existing play train and a new roadway track.

We included our Treetop Play Hut central to the new roadway as a perfect addition to any play area, school or early years setting, it introduces a unique and interesting themed space for play.

Sitting above ground on a 600mm high decked platform base, the multifunctional playhouse style unit has easy access steps, rockhold ramp access, plastic slide and connected rocking seat to the side of the unit. Complete with painted timber and engraved details, children can develop their social skills in an outdoor sheltered environment while having endless hours of imaginative fun.
